Anxiety reduction: work on saying "no" 02/12/2011
People who suffer with anxiety generally struggle with saying "no." Whether it is" no" to another volunteer project into an already over-stuffed schedule, or "no" to the friend or loved-one who oversteps their reliance or quota of favors, or "no" to the boss who has no idea you're already feeling maxed out at work, anxiety sufferers struggle to take care of themselves. When we stretch ourselves so thin in service of others, our bodies let us know by developing anxiety. We need to learn to say "no" and take care of ourselves. Much like the air masks on an airplane, we simply cannot be the friend, lover, spouse, parent or employee we want to be without first taking care of ourselves.
